Nanostructured Silica has demonstrated promising results in the laboratory for more efficient beer filtration in terms of both cost and usage of raw materials as well as water. If an “egg-shell” catalyst concept under development by Eden is used in newly developed filtering systems, the expectation is that an additional 50% of beer could be recovered from the sludge in the fermenter.
